Creating visual stories about planet Earth that seem close enough to touch.
I have a passion for storytelling through filmmaking, which has carried me from a bachelor’s degree in filmmaking to creating and leading the audiovisual production department of a science communication company. My background covers every step of the filmmaking process, from writing to directing, cinematography, editing, and much more. I have produced science communication documentary videos for clients such as the USGS, University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science, DARPA, NOAA, and more. My films have shown in film festivals, and focus on environmental science communication and bringing the wonder of planet earth to audiences everywhere. To learn more about the types of films I produce, see some of my examples below!
Olympic Sleepers of the Arctic
In this documentary, I delved into understanding the hibernation adaptations of arctic ground squirrels, how their unique biology is being used to pioneer medical advances, and the greater environmental threats facing the Arctic region. I co-directed, co-produced and co-edited this short documentary, which showed at the Chesapeake Film Festival in 2021.
