Hi! My name is James, and I lead Wandering Krill Productions. Wandering Krill Productions is a company that seeks to convey the beauty that I see in the natural world to audiences everywhere.
I specialize in multimedia creation, focusing on mass media production, storytelling, podcasting and filmmaking to inspire the imagination and to promote environmental stewardship in diverse audiences. My specialties include science communication, writing, filmmaking, mass media production, public presentations and graphic design.
Bringing the beauty of our environment to your home
Part of my approach to science communication is through the “language of enthusiasm.” Environmental science is a wonderfully compelling topic, with stories that touch the heart and subjects that are often stranger than fiction. When talking to nonscientists about the environment, one of my most common refrains is “how cool is this stuff!?” I often find that people will pay closer attention when I channel passion into the stories I tell. I believe that the best kind of story is one with heart, that makes audiences feel almost close enough to touch places that they have never seen before.
